Where we broke (and fixed) a suspension spring on our car and moved around on foot and by buses for a few days. I am pretty sure we broke it on the very last bit of our drive to a rented cottage - for me this stage of unfamiliar route almost always includes getting lost, and on this occasion we got lost on extremely steep and narrow roads. The navigator announced that "you have arrived at your destination" just as a group of red deer skipped across dark road in front of us. I was impressed.
We stayed close to Dulverton. It's a beautiful area, and we had some nice walks - muddy and steep, granted, but good ones anyway. Didn't have very nice weather - there was some sunshine on two days out of the whole week, so here's a picture to show we had some
